Home > About Us

The Calgary Board of Education (CBE) is the largest public school district in Western Canada, with over 221 schools, serving 104,000 students.
The CBE follows a provincial curriculum set out by Alberta Education’s Program of Studies. Students who successfully complete high school courses are eligible to receive credits toward an Alberta high school diploma.
The CBE offers a wide range of program choices. In addition to academic courses, all students take a range of options to ensure a well-rounded education. An
international student coordinator works with students to provide a customized timetable based on the student’s goals, needs and interests.
Full ESL support is provided for international students at no extra charge.
International students are encouraged to get involved in extracurricular activities. This is a great way to meet Canadian friends.
