The Calgary Board of Education, as one of the largest public school districts in Canada, has one of the country’s most experienced and qualified teaching staff. Education programs have high academic standards and include a complete range of elementary, junior high school and high school academic courses as well as many optional courses.

The International Bureau has designated seven high schools that are the best for international students. Each of these high schools has an International Coordinator on staff to help international students with their academic and social programs.

International students are placed in schools where there is space and program availability. You may request a specific school and we will make every attempt to accommodate your request. However, the

International Bureau reserves the right to make the final placement decision. Please note that not all Calgary schools can accept international students.
