International Student Renewal Information
REGISTRATION OPENS ON MARCH 3, 2025
The Calgary Board of Education would like to take this opportunity to thank you for studying with us and we trust that your school year has been enjoyable.
According to our records, your program with the Calgary Board of Education will soon be over. If you are planning to continue your studies, you need to submit fees for the next school year.
Required Fees for 2025-2026

*The semester fee is applicable only for those high school students who will either be graduating or returning home after one semester. Full year students cannot pay by the semester.
For elementary and junior high students (Grades K-9) who will study for periods of less than one full school year (a full school year means from September to June), please contact Global Learning for eligibility and fees.
Student Contact Updates
We require that all student records be updated annually. Please complete the International Student Demographic Form and submit it to Global Learning at internationalstudents@cbe.ab.ca.
The Letter of Acceptance will be issued upon receipt of this completed form and full payment of fees.
Payment
Payment can be made as follows:
Calgary Board of Education is partnered with Flywire to streamline the payment process. This allows you to pay securely from any country (including Canada) and any bank, typically in your home currency. By making your payment with Flywire you can:

Please note this is the only payment method available and we ask that you do not send any other payment method to our office.
Payment Deadline: May 30, 2025. Fees must be received in full by this date in order to secure a spot for the 2025-2026 school year.
Student Permit Renewal
According to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC):
Only some people can charge a fee or receive any other type of payment to represent or advise you on a Canadian immigration proceeding or application. These are:
- lawyers and paralegals who are members in good standing of a Canadian provincial or territorial law society,
- immigration consultants who are members in good standing of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council.
These people are called “authorized” representatives. IRCC will not deal with representatives who charge for their services and are not members of one of the above groups.
As we do receive fees from you, we cannot assist you with renewing your study permit and this applies to the staff at Canada Homestay Network as well.
If you have strong English skills and follow the instructions very carefully, you may be able to apply directly using the online application process.
However, you may want to hire a Certified Immigration Consultant to assist you. There is a fee for this service which may be worth paying for the peace of mind in ensuring your application is done accurately and help you avoid delays or even a rejection of your application.
