Schools
International students are placed in schools where there is space and program availability. You may request a specific school based on the list of available schools below and we will make every attempt to accommodate your request. However, Global Learning has the right to make the final placement decision. Please note that not all Calgary schools can accept international students.
Acceptance to our schools is for a maximum of one year only. The CBE will make every effort to offer continued registration in subsequent years if requested but as space is limited, we cannot guarantee future availability.
2026-2027 School Year
High School (Grades 10-12)
The following high schools are open for the 2026-2027 school year:
- Bowness High School
- Central Memorial High School
- Crescent Heights High School
- Forest Lawn High School
- Henry Wise Wood High School
- Queen Elizabeth High School
- William Aberhart High School
Canada Homestay Network Placement
If you are applying for placement in our homestay program, please note that, while we will make every attempt to accommodate your school request, homestay availability can be limited and in some cases is unavailable. Global Learning has the right to make the final placement decision.
Please contact our office for current availability at the time of application.
Accommodation Self-Placement
If you are making your own accommodation arrangements, your home address does not guarantee placement at the designated school for that area.
